Welcome to the Python for Structural Engineers course by Timo Harboe ApS. By enrolling in this course, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. General Information

Course Purpose: This course provides structural engineers with skills in Python programming for process automation and software extension.

Level of Expertise Required: No prior programming experience is necessary; however, familiarity with structural engineering principles is beneficial.

Prerequisites: Users will need a stable internet connection, a computer, and the ability to access Google Colab.

General terms and conditions of the user are not part of this contract, even if they are not expressly excluded.

2. Access and Usage

Lifetime Access: Lifetime access means access for the lifetime of the course availability on this platform. If the course or platform ceases, users will be notified with alternative access solutions, if feasible.

Single-User License: Access is for individual use only. Login credentials are personal and should not be shared. Unauthorized sharing or distribution of course content is prohibited.

Consequences of Misuse: If unauthorized access or content sharing is detected, course access may be revoked without refund, and additional legal action may be pursued as necessary.

3. Payments and Refunds

Payment Platforms: Payments are processed securely through Stripe and other accepted methods displayed at checkout.

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: A 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies.

Eligibility: Refunds are available only if you have not studied beyond the Series and DataFrame section of Module 2: Excel on Steroids.
Timeframe for Eligibility: The 30-day period starts from the day of purchase, whether you buy a single or multiple licenses.
Requesting a Refund: To request a refund within 30 days of purchase:
- Email timo@pythonforstructuralengineers.com with the subject line “Refund Request”.
- Include the following details:
  - Full Name
  - Order ID
  - Purchase Date
  - Feedback (optional)
- You may also use the contract rescission form
Processing Time: Refunds are generally processed within 7-10 business days.

4. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

All course content, including video lectures, written materials, and supplementary resources, is the exclusive intellectual property of Timo Harboe ApS.

Third-Party Tools: This course uses Google Colab and recommends Anaconda. Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with any license terms and conditions for these or any other tools referenced. We are not responsible for the availability or continued operation of these services.

Copyright Notice: All rights reserved. No portion of this course may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form without prior written permission. Sharing links to course content is prohibited.

5. Platform and Technical Requirements

Technical Support: For issues related to course access, contact timo@timoharboe.com. Technical support does not cover installation or troubleshooting of third-party tools.

Software Compatibility: Timo Harboe ApS is not responsible for the compatibility of any finite element (FE) software with Python.

6. Student Conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully.

Code of Conduct: Inappropriate behavior, including harassment, abusive language, or any disruptive actions, is prohibited.

Disciplinary Actions: Breaches in conduct may lead to termination of access without refund and, if applicable, further legal action.

7. Privacy Policy

Data Collection: We collect your name, email, and payment information for course setup and support.

Data Usage: Your data is used for account setup, support, and occasional marketing. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Third-Party Sharing: Data is shared with third parties only as necessary for payment processing (e.g., Stripe).

Data Retention: User data is retained only as long as necessary for course support. You may request data deletion by contacting support.

Cookies and Tracking: Our platform may use cookies and tracking technologies to enhance user experience, which complies with GDPR requirements.

For advertising emails, we require your consent, which you may give by selecting the ‘opt-in’ option during course registration. You can unsubscribe at any time.

8. Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnification

Educational Purpose: This course is provided for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional engineering advice.

Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the course fee. The course is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Indemnification: You agree that you will not assert any claims against Timo Harboe ApS, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the course content, your violation of these Terms and Conditions, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.

9. Modification of the Course

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the course or any part of it at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the course.

10. Modification and Termination of Terms

Updates to Terms: We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Users will be notified of changes via email or platform announcements.

User Acknowledgment: Continued access to the course after changes signifies acceptance of the new terms.

Termination Rights: Course access may be terminated for breaches of these terms or misuse of content. If terminated, all course access will be immediately revoked without a refund.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Legal Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Denmark.

Dispute Resolution: Mediation is the preferred method for dispute resolution. If necessary, specific mediation services and rules will be followed.

12. Additional Clauses

Severability: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Timo Harboe ApS regarding the course and supersede all prior agreements or communications.

No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms and Conditions will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Force Majeure: Timo Harboe ApS is not liable for delays or failure in performance due to events outside reasonable control, such as natural disasters or technical issues.

Assignment: Rights and access under these terms cannot be transferred to another party without prior permission.

Third-Party Beneficiaries: These terms do not confer rights on any third parties.

13. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

Complying with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
Not engaging in prohibited conduct.
Ensuring their equipment meets the technical requirements for accessing the course.

13. Bulk Purchase Benefits

Buy 7, Get 1 Free: When you purchase 7 licenses in a single order, you will receive an additional license at no extra cost (totaling 8 licenses). To qualify for this offer, all 7 licenses must be purchased within the same transaction. No client-specific materials will be prepared or provided for these workshops.

It is the client’s responsibility to initiate the scheduling of the workshop. Workshops are limited to being held between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM CET, subject to the tutor’s availability.
